about

SEEMAWORLD is the entity of director, Seema Mattu, a mixed-media world-building artist born and based in Birmingham, (UK). SEEMAWORLD operates through interweaving strands, which each transcend specialisms in film, moving image, 3D animation, sound design, sculpture and performance. SEEMAWORLD is a self-generating archive and multiverse, which also holds space for: research, criticality, collaboration, making and showcasing.

SEEMAWORLD operates under SEEMAWORLD LTD as a Limited Company (no. 11020276).

what personal info is collected and how?

Currently, no personal information is collected or retained as site visitors are not yet required to input personal details to explore www.seemaworld.com.

To clarify:
+++ SEEMAWORLD does not use contact forms, but does host its own contact information (e.g. email address, social media handles etc) for site visitors to contact SEEMAWORLD directly. Because of this, personal information is not collected should users wish to learn more about SEEMAWORLD.

+++ When you visit websites run by or linked to SEEMAWORLD, this would automatically populate an IP address, which identifies a device used to browse the internet. As the SEEMAWORLD website runs via Webflow, there may be instances where site visits are viewed and monitored to assess website traffic and engagement with SEEMAWORLD outputs.

+++ SEEMAWORLD is working on a digital newsletter, but this will be hosted by the online platform, New Art City, where users can browse interactive updates in virtual space. Users will not need to sign up or provide personal information to access the digital newsletters, but will have an IP address attached to their device in order to browse the site(s).

what info doe SEEMAWORLD obtain directly from you?

+++ When you send an email to SEEMAWORLD (hello@seemaworld.com), your email address and / or any contact information included by your in your email may be stored or referred to for future correspondence.

+++ When you post something about SEEMAWORLD, publicly via social media (SEEMAWORLD uses Instagram only via @seemaworld_), SEEMAWORLD may reply / react to comments or questions in relation to this.

+++ When recording live video / audio or using photography to document an event, workshop, performance, project etc, SEEMAWORLD will request the permission of those involved before including on the SEEMAWORLD website. This content may be used for archive, promotional or portfolio purposes.

+++ When working collaboratively, SEEMAWORLD will request personal information such as bank details, registered / home address etc to process invoices. 

what info might SEEMAWORLD collect outside of you?

When working collaboratively with others on projects or for use of networking purposes, introducing potential collaborators etc your information (e.g. email address, website address) may be shared with SEEMAWORLD by others you are working with. If SEEMAWORLD is sharing your contact information to connect you with others for collaborative opportunities, permission will be requested beforehand. 

why and how your personal info is used

As of December 2024, SEEMAWORLD operates through ongoing projects, exhibitions, screenings etc in collaboration with other organisations. As SEEMAWORLD does not currently trade with specific products e.g. limited editions, merchandise etc, no sensitive information such as bank details, addresses etc are required by individuals is collected unless there is a contractual agreement whereby SEEMAWORLD is working with you.
